Eastwood Sewerage Works and Surrounding Area - 29th September 2002
(Admittedly a strange sounding area to organise our first field walk of the season and we are possibly the only group in Southend who would chose such a place! Having said that the sewerage works are a very good place to see birds. The winter months, especially during a very cold spell, can be very rewarding with Water Pipit, Woodcock and Jack Snipe among the species that could be seen).
