1 Marsh Sandpiper. This bird has been reported by others since about 23/08. It was showing well among resting Canada Geese on a tiny islet at the SE end of the pits, O.S. grid ref 870 068. Martin Johnson.

Female Montague's Harrier. Wings were more pointed than Hen and were more rounded, above the wing were two very distinctive black bars running down the wing, tail was long and fanned with a slight white rump not as big as the Hen Harrier more 'U' shaped.
