Southchurch Park and Southchurch Park East
3 male Cygnets flew off pond in Southchurch Park and did a full circuit of the park and then to the estuary at last where they were seen with the 3 older (Gunners Park) white cygnets swimming/flying in the Shoebury East direction. We believe that Gunners is becoming a nursery pond, for all the local cygnets now being successfully fledged. 1 Female cygnet now left in Southchurch Park. 1 Water Rail showing all week in Southchurch Park East in usual place swimming/wading/on outer reed bank, becoming very friendly but cautious.
