Paglesham Lagoon, 07:00 to 08:00: 12 Common Tern, 4 Great Crested Grebe (2 pairs), 4 Little Grebe (2 pairs), 25 Pochard (No specific count but at least 20 males showing), 20 Tufted Duck (But no specific coun.), 6 Gadwall. John Wright (SOG).
River Roach, 08:05 to 08:15: 4 Little Egret, 1 Avocet (Along the north bank at Pag Lag). John Wright (SOG).
Paglesham, 08:15 to 09:15: 1 Skylark, 1 Yellowhammer, 1 Corn Bunting (No specific count done on these 3 species but good numbers singing around the whole area). John Wright (SOG).
Two Tree Island 0820 - 09:30: 22 Avocet, 2 Grasshopper Warbler (bird on west side of model aeroplane strip showing very well), Reed Bunting. Web Author.
Wallasea Island, 09:30 to 10:15: 1 Little Egret, 20 House Martin (Only 5 nests being used at present on a building in the Essex Marina (Wallasea boat yard). The building has had up to 30 nests on it in recent years but at the moment is being renovated/painted and consequently is hopeless for the Hse. Martins nesting attempts). John Wright (SOG).

Wat Tyler Country Park, 17:00 to 17:35: 2 Reed Warbler (singing), 1 Cuckoo (singing), 1 Glaucous Gull (2nd summer. Flew in at 17:10 and still present at 17:35 at least. Dark iris and no grey on mantle. ie. different bird to a few weeks ago). Neil Chambers (SOG).
