For Information: We have received more detailed information on our old friends A00 and E02 the Southend Pier Mediterranean Gulls. From reports of these birds it would seem that A00, last reported on the Pier on 08/04/01, preferred to spend its summer in Le Portel, Fort de l'Heurt, Pas-de-Calais, France, coming back to the Pier sometime around the beginning of September. Bird E02, however, seems to be going for its British passport. Last reported on 08/04/01 from the Pier, it was then reported throughout the summer at Elms Farm, Icklesham, Rye, Sussex. It would appear that it returned to the Pier at the same time as A00.
