As I lifted my binoculars to look at them I saw a large dark bird at the front of them, and to my amazement saw it was an Osprey and it was carrying a large fish in its talons beneath itself. The bird climbed a bit into the sky and flew away southwards about 100 feet up over the sea followed by many of the gulls flying around it. Through my binoculars I watched it for a couple of minutes as it gracefully flew away southwards towards Shoebury Garrison, where I lost sight of it amongst the gulls. I think it might have turned south-westwards, perhaps going towards Gunners Park. Clive Jolly.
