Churchill Gardens is a little oasis right in the centre of Southend. Although a small area the park boasts a small waterfall of at least 30 feet. Birds that have been observed in the past include: Woodcock, Blackcap, Sparrowhawk, Grey Wagtail, Goldcrest, Long-tailed Tit, Chiffchaff, Redwing and Great Spotted Woodpecker. If you work in central Southend, the park is well worth a lunch-time visit.
