Langdon Conservation Centre

The centre has a display room, gift- and bookshop, refreshments and school facilities. Toilet facilities, including disabled. A short way from the centre is the 'Haven' Plotlands Museum. One of the original 1930s cottages has been preserved in its original state and houses exhibits from the 1930s and 1940s, offering fascinating glimpses of Basildon's former inhabitants and their lifestyles. It is staffed by volunteers with a mine of local knowedge and is open from April to the end of September, on Sundays from 2–5pm and on Bank Holidays from 10am–5pm.
